Nirvay Netra
Autonomous IoT-based women's safety system with automatic threat detection and emergency alerts.
About This Project
Nirvay Netra is a fully automatic women's safety system built using IoT wearables, Bluetooth connectivity, and real-time alert mechanisms. It eliminates the need for manual SOS activation, ensuring that help is triggered even when the user cannot reach their phone.
The system uses a pressure-sensitive wristband to detect struggle, gripping, or abnormal force patterns, and a microphone-based pendant to identify distress cues through audio analysis. Both devices connect to the mobile app via Bluetooth, enabling continuous monitoring without user action.
Even in low or no internet situations, the system continues to function. The wearable devices can still detect danger and trigger local alerts. The app sends SMS alerts, which work without mobile data, ensuring that police, community responders, and family members receive the victim's location and alert message even in poor connectivity areas.
When a threat is detected, the app sends automatic SMS, push notifications, and live location updates to nearby police stations, community users, and emergency contacts—along with directions to reach the victim. All of this happens completely hands-free.
Nirvay Netra also includes a fail-safe mechanism: if a false alarm is triggered, the user gets a 30-second window to cancel it. Once safe, they can mark themselves secure, and the system immediately notifies police and family members.
Nirvay Netra aims to deliver fast, reliable, and autonomous assistance in high-stress situations, ensuring help reaches when it's needed the most.
